Attempted murder charges in Albion, QLD

Police have charged a man with attempted murder following an incident in Albion overnight.

At approximately 8.30pm on Friday, December 30, police were called to a private address on Anstey Street following reports of a disturbance.

Upon police arrival, a woman in her 40s was located with multiple stab wounds and was transported in a critical condition to the Royal Brisbane Hospital.

A male in his 40s also sustained a stab wound and was transported to Royal Brisbane hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Police arrested a 30-year-old Bowen Hills man at the scene.

He has been charged with two counts of attempted murder and is expected to appear at Brisbane Magistrates Court today (December 31).

Investigations are continuing.
