Australia’s National Greenhouse Accounts for 2020 are now available.
The National Greenhouse Accounts estimate and account for Australia’s greenhouse gas emissions from 1990 to 2020. They are made up of:
The National Inventory Report fulfils Australia’s international inventory reporting requirements on greenhouse gas emissions. We submitted this report under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and Kyoto Protocol reporting rules on 27 May 2022.
This year’s accounts include interactive data. You can easily generate emissions graphs by sectors and by state and territory. You can also download the full dataset and learn about the methodology we use to track emissions.
