Australian Antarctic Program Partnership

The Australian Antarctic Division welcomes the opportunity to work with core partners the University of Tasmania, CSIRO and the Bureau of Meteorology as part of the new Australian Antarctic Program Partnership (AAPP).

The AAPP will be funded through the Antarctic Science Collaboration Initiative (ASCI), which will provide $5 million a year for 10 years to support Antarctic researchers.

The Partnership brings together leading Australian science agencies to better understand the role of the Antarctic region in the global climate system and the implications on marine ecosystems.

This science challenge is multi-disciplinary and can only be addressed with a well-integrated, collaborative research program that spans disciplines and institutions.
