Australind assault – information sought

Bunbury Detectives are continuing their investigation into an incident that occurred In Australind around 7.20pm on Sunday 2 February 2020.

It is alleged a 38-year-old man drove to a home in Denebola Crescent and assaulted a male occupant of the house with an aluminium baseball bat. The victim was asleep at the time of the attack.

The victim received severe swelling to the brain and a fractured skull. He was airlifted to Royal Perth Hospital for treatment where he remains in a critical condition.

Detectives believe there were several members of the public in the area around Denebola Crescent, Millbridge Boulevard and Eaton Drive between 7.15pm and 8.30pm who may have seen the man walking in the area wearing a red Chicago Bulls singlet and carrying a baseball bat.

The 38-year-old man was charged by detectives on 2 February 2020 in relation to this incident.
