Kempsey Shire Council
Due to the Minor to Major flood warning issued by the Bureau of Meteorology, opening the flood relief gates at Kinchela Creek and the Belmore River will occur this morning.
Council staff will progressively open the flood structures to control the water levels of Belmore River and Kinchela Creek.
When these rivers return to an appropriate level the relief gates will be closed again.
It is strongly recommended that landholders monitor the situation closely and act accordingly.
