Bayside Libraries is thrilled to announce the winners of The Big Summer Read, a statewide initiative aimed at addressing an identified phenomenon known as the “summer slide”, which refers to the loss of literacy skills over the summer holidays when children do not read.
The end of the Big Summer Read was celebrated at Sandringham Library on Saturday 3 February with lots of fun and engaging activities for the community including the announcement of winners.
Bayside Libraries would like to extend its thanks to everyone who participated.
We hope you all had a relaxing summer and enjoyed reading some delightful books.
Starting from today, 7 February, you can head to your local Bayside library to collect your free BIG Summer Read rulers.
