Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) crews are on scene at a large bushfire burning in Blue Mountain to the east of Blue Mountain Road and south of Peak Downs Highway. The fire is posing no threat to property at this time. Firefighters are working to contain the blaze with support from water bombing aircraft. Smoke is affecting the area. Nearby residents are asked to close windows and doors and if suffering from a respiratory condition, keep medications close by. Motorists should drive with caution. If you are concerned your property is under threat you’re are advised to call Triple Zero (000) immediately.
