Police will prepare a report for the Coroner after the body of a teenager was located in Lake Nagambie this morning.
Search and Rescue divers retrieved the body of a 17-year-old Kangaroo Flat boy about 9am.
It is believed the teen got into difficulty while swimming with friends near Vickers Road on 4 December about 5pm.
Investigators were told the boy’s friends attempted to assist him before losing sight of him in the water.
Officers from Seymour who were nearby at the time also attempted to locate the boy.
A post-mortem will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
