NT COVID-19 update

6 August 2022

On Monday 8 August 2022, the Casuarina Plaza COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic will open to help boost access to COVID-19 vaccination in Greater Darwin, over a three week blitz.

Bookings are now open for everyone aged five years and over and can be made online by visiting coronavirus.nt.gov.au.

The clinic will operate daily from 10:00am to 6:30pm until Sunday 28 August 2022. It will be located at the Casuarina Community Care Centre, ground floor Casuarina Plaza, 258 Trower Road, Casuarina.

The Greater Darwin region continues to have a higher number of COVID-19 cases and hospitalisations.

COVID-19 vaccination remains the best defence against COVID-19 and everyone needs stays up-to-date with their vaccinations.

Everyone aged 30 years and over can now get a fourth dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, three months after their last vaccination.

People aged 16 to 29 years need three doses to be up to date their vaccinations. Children aged 5 to 12 years need two doses.

Some people with complex health needs will need additional doses for the best protection and should speak to their GP.

People who have tested positive for COVID-19 can get their next vaccination three months after their infection.

Walk in appointments are welcomed at the Casuarina Plaza COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic, but bookings are preferred to help the flow of vaccinations.

Territorians can also get their COVID-19 vaccine from across the NT at participating GP clinics, pharmacies, respiratory clinics, urban and remote health clinics and Aboriginal health clinics.
