Break and enters arrests at Yeppoon

Rockhampton police have arrested two people following a number of break and enters around Yeppoon CBD overnight.

An Anzac Parade restaurant had a large glass door smashed as did a butcher on Arthur Street and six other shops located along James Street.

Acting Senior Sergeant and Officer in Charge of Yeppoon Police Station said police share the frustrations of local businesses who are now out of pocket for the cost to repair their shops.

“Police are urging residents to be vigilant as we enter the Christmas period,” he said.

A 24-year-old man and 15-year-old boy were taken into custody at a Norman Gardens address around 1.30pm today and are currently assisting police with their inquiries.

Anyone with vision or further information is urged to contact police.
