Breast cancer support comes to Wagga Wagga

Breast Cancer Network Australia

Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA) is holding an online Information Forum for people in Wagga Wagga diagnosed with breast cancer and their support people.

BCNA’s ‘Living well with breast cancer’ Information Forums are designed to provide information and support to everyone affected by breast cancer – whether they have been diagnosed with DCIS, early breast cancer or metastatic breast cancer.

The Wagga Wagga online forum will be an opportunity to hear from experts about the latest in breast cancer treatment, managing your emotional wellbeing after a breast cancer diagnosis, and how you can live well during treatment and beyond.

It will explore the insights of people affected by breast cancer living in Wagga Wagga and provide you with information about local support available in and around the area.

Wagga Wagga Breast Care Nurse, Monica Jessop, says BCNA’s forums are a great resource for individuals and their families to get information and support to assist them during this difficult time.

‘You don’t necessarily know of all the supportive services that are available in your local area, so it’s a great way to find out that information while connecting with others and having some great conversations.’

Tune in on 29 August, 30 August, and 8 September as we run three sessions tailored to early breast cancer, metastatic breast cancer and maintaining health and wellbeing during a breast cancer diagnosis and beyond.

Guest speakers will include Medical Oncologist Dr Belinda Keily, Wagga Wagga Breast Care Nurses Sue Munroe and Monica Jessop, Director Supportive Care Services at Cancer Council Tasmania Sarah De Jonge, Exercise Physiologist Samantha Jones, and Physiotherapist and Lymphoedema Therapist Stuart McKenzie.

BCNA invites anyone interested to register for the session/s you would like to attend here.
