Brothers Harada and Feral to clash this Saturday

GRNSW

Brotherly love will be pushed to the side on Saturday night when the people’s champ, Feral Franky, comes face to face with his brother, TAB Million Dollar Chase champion Good Odds Harada.

The brothers – the brightest sprinting stars in NSW greyhound racing – headline the four-dog field in the Group 3 Christmas Gift at Wentworth Park on Saturday night.

Joining The Feral and Harada in this unique four-dog format, will be Million Dollar Chase finalist Jimmy Casey, and the flying Embye, who owns one of the fastest times run at Wentworth Park this year.

While they spent their early months together with their mother Solar Pak, the pair now reside many kilometres apart – Feral Franky in Forbes at trainer Jack Smith’s kennels, while home for Good Odds Harada is the Londonderry kennels of Frank Hurst.

Despite their lofty stature in the industry, the pair have only ever met twice in a race, the first time was early in their respective careers, back in March at Wentworth Park, when Good Odds Harada was second and Feral Franky third behind Lagoon Rhett.

The only other time was early last month when Feral Franky was second to Get It Gizmo in the Group 1 Topgun at The Meadows in Melbourne, with Good Odds Harada finishing fourth.

Now the pair look to break the deadlock at Wenty on Saturday.
