Cancer Council WA have once again joined forces with Bunnings in a bid to raise much needed funds for cancer research through this year’s Daffodil Day, Thursday 31 August.

Cancer Council WA Engagement Manager, Annie Hicks, said buying a bunch of daffodils from a Bunnings store on Friday 25 and Saturday 26 August was a great way to get involved to help raise funds for live-saving cancer research.

“Cancer Council are hoping to raise $2million for cancer research through this year’s Daffodil Day,” Ms Hicks said.

“While the iconic street appeal will not go ahead again this year due to Covid still being a risk in the community, there are still many ways to get involved to help raise funds for live-saving cancer research, including heading to your local Bunnings store for a bunch of daffodils.

“With fundraising under pressure, it is more important than ever to ensure we support the work of our cancer researchers, so we are grateful to have Bunnings on board.

“By supporting Daffodil Day, you will help us invest in cutting-edge, life-saving research to give Australians hope for a cancer free future.”
