Car crashes into Truganina house

A man is expected to be charged after allegedly crashing his car into the front of a house in Truganina last night.

Earlier in the evening, police were at the scene of a vehicle collision on Broombush Court, when they heard and saw a grey Kia sedan, on Leakes Road, allegedly travelling on its wheel rims about 9.55pm.

Highway Patrol officers attempted to locate the vehicle but were unable to find it.

A short time later, police responded to a car that had crashed into the front of a house on Clearwood Drive and discovered the car was the Kia sedan seen earlier.

Fortunately, the house was unoccupied at the time of the crash.

The driver of the car furnished a positive preliminary breath test and returned an evidentiary breath test of 1.69.

A 33-year-old Truganina man is expected to be charged on summons with drink driving related offences, careless driving and other traffic related offences.
