Car fire leads to drug arrest, South Australia

A man was arrested for drug trafficking after police found drugs in his burning car at Largs North yesterday morning.

Police and fire crews responded to reports of a car fire in Kybunga Terrace, Largs North about 7.15am on Thursday 11 August.

The fire was extinguished by fire crews.

While investigating the cause of the fire, a quantity of illicit drugs and cash were located inside the vehicle.

A 34-year-old Largs Bay man was arrested and charged with trafficking in a controlled drug.

He was refused police bail and will appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court today, Friday 12 August.

The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
