Car, mobile stolen in North St Marys

A man has had his car and mobile phone stolen after being threatened by three men in North St Marys overnight.

The 34-year-old man was sitting in the passenger seat of his car outside a business in Parklawn Place about 7.30pm (Sunday 8 May 2021), when he was approached by a man who demanded his car keys.

The driver refused but saw two more men nearby, one of whom punched him in the face and demanded his mobile phone.

The man handed over the keys and his phone then was dragged from the vehicle before the three men drove away in his car. All men were wearing face masks.

Officers from Nepean Police Area Command attended and initiated inquiries.

Police are now investigating the incident and are appealing for anyone with information to call Penrith Police or Crime Stoppers.
