Currently in residence at Police Point at Cottage 5 until Sunday 1 October 2023, Stewart is on a mission to harness his artistic prowess to benefit the local youth and residents.

A resident of the picturesque Red Hill, Stewart is no stranger to the Mornington Peninsula’s unparalleled beauty. During the term 3 school holidays, Westle is set to collaborate with the Red Hill Scout group, sharing his passion for sketching Mother Nature’s grandeur.

He will guide the scouts in unlocking their artistic potential, teaching them to observe the natural environment and translate it into captivating drawings.

A volunteer at Jimmy’s Youth Wellbeing Sanctuary in Rosebud, Stewart also offers artistic mentoring to local young people. Through the Sanctuary, he will introduce mentees to the wonders of Police Point, inspiring unique connections with landscape through creative means.

Curious minds are invited to explore Cottage 5 and witness firsthand the magic of Stewart’s residency space. Bring lunch and witness the evolution of Stewart’s sketches, a testament to his unwavering dedication to the artistry that has become his life’s calling.

The Police Point Artist in Residence Program has now been running for over five years. This national initiative beckons artists from all corners of Australia to immerse themselves in the breathtaking natural wonders of the Mornington Peninsula.
