The City of Casey is excited to present the Green Living in Casey Expo 2019, on Saturday 16 November, in the Bunjil Place plaza.
This free, family-friendly event will be packed with inspiring ways to shine a light on all things sustainable. There’ll be free workshops, eco-friendly market stalls and plenty to entertain the kids.
Free children’s activities will include animal encounters, a roving bubble performer, face painting and badge-making. There’ll also be a Casey recycling truck for children to explore, free collectable wildlife cards and smoothie bikes-mix your own drink with pedal-power!
Stalls will include health products, organic food, sustainable baby ideas, upcycling and more.
Roving Refills will be there, so bring containers to refill your bulk green cleaning products.
City of Casey Mayor Cr Susan Serey highlighted how the festival provides the community with opportunities to learn from a range of sustainability experts.
“There’ll be various free talks throughout the day on topics such as composting, wildlife-friendly gardening, energy efficiency, and making your own beeswax wraps,” she said.
“The Sikh community will be on hand, serving up delicious curries for a gold coin donation and there’ll be a coffee van offering organic coffee-so remember to bring your own reusable cup and bag!”
