CCTV appeal after serious assault – Auburn PAC

Police have released CCTV images in an appeal for public information following an alleged serious assault on public transport in Sydney’s west earlier this month.

About 10pm on Friday 1 September 2023, a man was waiting on a platform at Strathfield Railway Station, when he was approached by an unknown male and allegedly assaulted, knocking a tooth out.

The 26-year-old man was treated for injuries to his face and mouth.

Officers attached to the Auburn Police Area Command attended and commenced an investigation into the incident.

As inquiries continue, police have released CCTV images of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries.

The man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in his early 20’s, of medium build, with black hair.

He is depicted wearing a black hat, grey ‘Nike’ hooded jumper, black shorts, and red shoes.
