CCTV footage released after assault, robbery at Rockdale, NSW

Police have released CCTV footage after a man was injured after being assaulted and robbed at Rockdale last month.

About 9.30pm on Tuesday 21 December 2021, a man approached the owner of a restaurant at the rear of the premises on Kings Lane, Rockdale.

The owner, a 46-year-old man, was assaulted before the unknown man fled, taking his mobile phone.

The injured man was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics for facial injuries before being taken to St George Hospital. He has since been released.

Officers attached to St George Police Area Command attended and established a crime scene.

As investigations into the incident continue, police have released CCTV footage of a man who may be able to assist with inquiries.

He is depicted as being of solid build, with shaved black hair and an olive complexion.

The man is seen wearing a white t-shirt, cargo shorts, brown work boots and a black ‘bum bag’ worn across his chest.
