CCTV images released after break, enter and steal offences in the Burwood/Merrylands areas, NSW

Police have released CCTV images after several break, enter, and steal offences occurred on residential properties in Sydney’s Inner West and South West.

Between Tuesday 25 December 2018 and Thursday 10 January 2019, several break, enter and steal offences occurred in the Merrylands, Croydon, and Burwood areas.

On Sunday 6 January 2019, police were called to a home on Arthur Street, Croydon where they were confronted by a man armed with a knife.

Shortly after, a foot pursuit was initiated, however, the man was unable to be found. Since that time, the man has been sighted in Nicholson Street, Strathfield and the Merrylands area.

On Thursday 10 January 2019, a 67-year-old male occupant was at a Merrylands home and was injured when he disturbed a male offender. He was hospitalised and has since been released.

Police would like to speak with a man who may be able to assist police with their inquiries.

The man depicted in the image, is described as being of Asian appearance, aged between 20 to 30 years, of slim build, approximately 170cm-175cm tall, with black hair.

He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap with a Japanese flag, a burgundy coloured shirt, black jacket, and black dress shoes.
