Police have released images of a man who may be able to assist with inquiries into an assault at a railway station in Sydney’s west last month.
About 1.30pm on Monday 8 November 2021, a 29-year-old man was standing on a platform at St Mary’s Railway Station, when he was approached by an unknown man and woman.
Police were told the unknown man assaulted the man, punching him a number of times in the head, causing the man to fall to the ground and sustain injuries to his teeth.
The injured man attempted to leave the railway station to meet a friend, when he was followed by the pair who continued to verbally abuse him.
The pair left the scene on foot and the man attended St Mary’s Police Station to report the incident, where he was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics for facial injuries.
Officers attached to the Police Transport and Public Safety Command commenced investigations into the incident and have released CCTV images of a man who may be able to assist with inquiries.
He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, with a medium build, dark curly hair and brown eyes.
The man is depicted in the images wearing a dark and light green striped t-shirt, grey shorts and black, white and red high-top sneakers.
