CCTV released as investigations continue into attempted murder and robbery in Lansvale

Detectives have released CCTV footage of two men and are appealing for information as investigations continue into the alleged attempted murder and robbery of a man in Sydney’s south west earlier this year.

About 3.10am on Thursday 13 February 2020, emergency services were called to a granny flat on Huntingdale Avenue, Lansvale, after reports a man had been shot.

A 38-year-old man was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics for a gunshot wound to the stomach before being taken to Liverpool Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Police were told two men – with their faces covered and armed with a rifle – entered the granny flat and shot the man before stealing personal items including jewellery, cash and a designer handbag.

Detectives from Fairfield City Police Area Command established Strike Force Bellvue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.

During the course of the investigation so far, strike force detectives have seized a number of items, including a vehicle, and charged a 42-year-old man and 28-year-old woman last month. They remain before the courts.

As investigations continue, detectives have now released CCTV vision of two men who may be able to assist with their inquiries.

One man is depicted as wearing a dark hooded jacket, shorts, and black shoes.

The second man is depicted as wearing a grey hooded jumper, dark shorts, and black shoes

Anyone who may have seen the men in the Lansvale or Newcastle area on the morning of Thursday 13 February 2020 are urged to contact Fairfield Police Station on (02) 9728 8399 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
