CCTV released as investigations continue into fatal stabbing at Dubbo – Strike Force Honefoss

Detectives have released CCTV vision and are appealing for public assistance as investigations continue into the fatal stabbing of a man in the state’s central west.

Just after 12am on Wednesday 16 August 2023, emergency services were called to a home in Margaret Crescent, Dubbo, after reports a man had been injured.

On arrival, officers attached to Orana Mid-Western Police District located a man suffering multiple stab wounds to his chest.

Police will allege the man was injured after two men entered the home and stabbed him in bed before the pair fled.

The 39-year-old was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics; however, he died at the scene.

Detectives commenced an investigation into the man’s death under Strike Force Honefoss.

Following inquiries, a 39-year-old man was charged and remains before the court.

As inquiries continue, investigators have now released CCTV footage of a man seen in the area at the time who they believe can assist with their inquiries.

The man depicted is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 185cm tall and of a large build. He is shown wearing dark coloured shirt and shorts.

Police have also received information regarding a small white SUV seen in the area at the time and police are appealing for anyone with information to contact investigators.
