Charges following attempted robberies in Greater Dandenongg

Greater Dandenong Crime Investigation Unit detectives charged four teenagers after multiple attempted robberies involving an allegedly stolen car in Greater Dandenong this week.

Detectives allege three offenders attended a business on Heatherton Road in Dandenong on Wednesday 16 September, with two brandishing a knife and demanding cash before fleeing in a stolen Mitsubishi Outlander about 11.50am.

Earlier this morning, six offenders attended a service station on Cheltenham Road in Keysborough before allegedly stealing items from the store about 2am.

The offenders were removed from the premises before they allegedly attempted to force entry again multiple times but were unsuccessful.

Approximately 10 minutes later, officers observed the allegedly stolen Mitsubishi Outlander driving erratically in Noble Park North before stopping at a service station on Police Road in Mulgrave.

Police were immediately on scene and disturbed the offenders, before taking two into custody.

Four other offenders fled in the allegedly stolen vehicle, which collided with a pole near Police and Smith roads in Springvale.

Officers searched the area and located two other offenders who were taken into custody.

A 14-year-old boy from the Greater Dandenong area was charged with aggravated burglary (x7).

A 12-year-old girl from the Greater Dandenong area was charged with aggravated burglary (x2).

They will face a children’s court today.

An 18-year-old man from Narre Warren was charged with aggravated burglary (x2) and will appear at Dandenong Magistrates’ Court today.

An 18-year-old woman from Springvale was charged with theft of motor vehicle and theft and was bailed to appear at Dandenong Magistrates’ Court on 24 February 2027.

The investigation is ongoing.

It is alleged the vehicle was stolen from a gym in Springvale on 14 September.
