Churchlands Fatal Crash Charges

Detectives from the Major Crash Investigation Section have charged a 20-year-old man as part of an investigation into a fatal crash in Churchlands on Friday 30 July 2021.
About 10.00pm, a black Mercedes Benz convertible driving east on Cromarty Road and a grey Holden Commodore driving north on Pearson Street were involved in a collision.
The 58-year-old male driver of the Mercedes Benz died from his injuries at the scene. A 16-year-old female passenger in the Mercedes Benz and an 18-year-old male passenger in the Holden received serious injuries and were taken to Royal Perth Hospital by St John Ambulance.
The 20-year-old male driver of the Holden received less serious injuries and was taken to Royal Perth Hospital by St John Ambulance.
A 20-year-old man from Doubleview, who it is alleged was driving the Holden Commodore, has been charged with:
-1 x Dangerous Driving Causing Death in Circumstances of Aggravation
-2 x Dangerous Driving Causing Grievous Bodily Harm in Circumstances of Aggravation.
He is due to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court on Monday 1 November 2021.
