City News straight to your inbox

The City of Greater Geelong has launched an e-newsletter to help readers stay up-to-date with the latest news and events across the region.

Readers can subscribe to receive City News direct to their inbox every Friday afternoon.

City News features current opportunities to work at the City, how to have your say on city matters, COVID-19 support, contracts and tenders, and events and news from across the region.

Readers who post their photos of the region on social media using the hashtag #mygeelong also have the opportunity to have their image celebrated in City News.

The proactive service is designed to complement the printed edition of City News, which is published in the Times newspapers on Thursdays, the Independent on Fridays and the Geelong Advertiser on Saturdays.

The e-newsletter is not a duplication of the printed newspaper edition, but a visual and quick summary of what’s happening in our municipality.

At a time where we can’t gather in person, it’s a great way for community groups and local organisations to stay up-to-date with news across the region.

The new addition to the City’s external communication channels was rolled out in late July and has already reached almost 700 subscribers.

Over the next few months, the City hopes to reach new subscribers to help them stay up-to-date on the latest news and events within the City of Greater Geelong.

As the fastest growing regional area in the nation, the City of Greater Geelong is amplifying the ways it communicates with its diverse and growing community.

Please share the latest edition of City News with your team, department, family and friends so they can receive weekly news from the City straight to their inbox.
