The City of Swan has cancelled the Drug Aware On the House and sold out Drug Aware Hyper and Altone Comes Alive events, in response to the evolving status of Coronavirus (COVID-19).

The decision has been made in light of Prime Minister Scott Morrison’s announcement this afternoon that all non-essential gatherings of more than 500 people are to be cancelled.

City of Swan Mayor Kevin Bailey said the City’s primary concern is for public health, and the health of the community and staff.

“I am extremely grateful for the hard work of staff and volunteers to date for all of the groundwork that has already been done to organise these events,” he said.

“We are deeply disappointed at having to take this unprecedented measure, and our community can be assured that this decision has not been made lightly.”

Drug Aware On the House and Drug Aware Hyper were to be held over two days on Friday, March 13 and Saturday, March 14, while Altone Comes Alive was due to be held on Saturday, March 21.

Refunds for Drug Aware Hyper will be automatically processed through Moshtix within the next three business days.
