A NSW Police civilian employee has been charged with high-range drink driving after being stopped for a random breath test in Castle Hill this morning.
Officers attached to The Hills Police Area Command stopped a ute on Old Northern Road about 12.30am (Saturday 1 August 2026), due to the manner of driving.
Officers subjected the driver, a 28-year-old woman, to a roadside breath test which proved positive.
She was arrested and taken to Castle Hill Police Station where a breath analysis returned an alleged reading of 0.182.
The woman, who is employed at a North West Metropolitan Region command, has been charged with high-range PCA offence. She is due to appear in Parramatta Local Court on Thursday 10 September 2026.
Her licence has been suspended.
The woman’s employment status is now under review.
