Classic to Sell For Three Times Original Retail Price

Lloyds Auctioneers and Valuers

One of the rarest Holdens on the market is going under the hammer this weekend and is expected to sell for $500k.

The 1996 HSV GTSR is build number 11 of just 85 ever built and is in original condition.

“This is an extremely rare Holden, the last time we saw the same model was September last year and we weren’t sure when we would see one again,” said Mr. Lee Hames, Chief Operations Officer for Lloyds Auctions.

“When we auctioned the GTSR last year it sold under the hammer for $1,000,000 and we expect that it will happen again with the increase in value of these classic cars,” continued Mr. Hames.

“This GTSR is a very special vehicle and we’re very excited to see how it goes on auction day,” said Mr. Hames.

The classic is finished in the rare XU-3 Yellah, the same colour that the famous yellow taxis are finished in and is well presented in good condition.

Also going under the hammer is over 300 classic cars on Saturday 27th August from 10:00am.

This includes a 1977 Holden LX Torana SLR 5000 and 2017 HSV R8 Maloo 30th Anniversary edition with just delivery kilometres on the clock.

“It’s going to be a great weekend with a lot of rare and unique classics going under the hammer that you don’t want to miss,” said Mr. Hames.
