Commonwealth Bank, Gisborne selected the brigade to receive a donation of $500 as part of their National Community donations program.

Gisborne Branch Manager Ally Clough said their team selected the Gisborne CFA as they are fully aware of all the personal time and effort members give to keep the Community safe.

“Gisborne is such a small town which neighbours suburbs that were directly affected by the recent bushfires, and we would like to acknowledge the hard work brigade members do.

“We are really excited to be able to provide the brigade with this donation so they can continue doing great things in our local community.”

Gisborne Lieutenant Bevan Moody gratefully accepted the cheque on behalf of the brigade and said donations like these goes towards larger equipment upgrades when required.

“We recently upgraded two of our chainsaws that were over twenty years old,” Bevan said. “That is a great example of how community donations can benefit local brigades.

“We are very grateful to receive such a generous donation from the team at the Commonwealth Bank Gisborne Branch.”
