Community Circles Wingecarribee celebrates First Birthday with special Volunteer Awards

Community minded and community focused, Community Circles Wingecarribee has made a world of difference to the lives of dozens of local Wingecarribee Shire residents since forming a year ago. The group has been helping to connect those who need care and support, as well as assisting individuals in finding or forming groups of like-minded people, to enhance communal bonds and support networks within the local area.

To celebrate the group’s first birthday, Community Circles Wingecarribee is throwing a special event to recognise and honour the outstanding contributions of Community Circles volunteers.

The community event will be held at Council’s Moss Vale Civic Centre on Tuesday 26 March (2pm – 4pm), and you’re all invited!

A summary of the event includes:

Acknowledgement of Country from Aunty Robin

Keynote Speech by John Perkins, founder of Touched by Olivia Foundation (organisation behind the Community Circles initiative)

Community Circles Volunteers will share their experiences and stories

Local MPs and the Wingecarribee Shire Council Administrator Viv May, to present awards to volunteers.

Enjoy a variety of locally sourced refreshments at this special celebration.

Community Circles Wingecarribee will also be unveiling some new community initiatives and projects on the day.
