Community courts hit slam dunk

With the professional 3×3 basketballers coming to Glenelg soon for the Pro Hustle event on 29 May, you too can brush up your own skills on the 3×3 courts we have in Holdfast Bay.

You’ll find the courts at:

  • Brighton Oval, which was upgraded as part of the major Brighton Oval redevelopment that was completed in 2021, and is situated next to the skate park. The court is fenced and has lights for night time use.
  • John Miller Reserve, Somerton Park, which is also sporting a new look after a recent facelift. There is also an outdoor gym at the reserve, a fenced playground and public toilet amenities.

There are also 3×3 basketball courts at Bowker Oval, North Brighton and Wattle Reserve, Hove.

At Sutherland Reserve, Glenelg South, there’s a basketball hoop and half court which is part of a tennis court.

As part of the upcoming 3×3 Pro Hustle event, which will be held at Glenelg, there’ll be a 3×3 Street Hustle competition on Saturday 28 May, which junior teams can enter to play.

On Sunday, 29 May, the Pro Hustle teams will then take to the court.

There’ll be another court in action on the day for spectators and participants of all ages and abilities to play on.
