A review of community markets in the Cairns region has revealed growing demand for such events.
A survey of stallholders who attended the Tanks Markets, Holloway Beach Seaside Markets, Gordonvale Cottage Markets and the Palm Cove Markets indicated strong patronage, with a third reporting no change or a 10 per cent increase in sales compared to the previous year.
There was also a 21 per cent increase in stallholders attending community markets.
