Community Satisfaction Survey taking place in Greater Shepparton

Residents are encouraged to share their views on Greater Shepparton City Council’s service delivery through the Local Government Community Satisfaction Survey.

Quarter One surveys are currently underway until Friday 30 October 2026, providing Council with valuable insights into the experiences and expectations of residents, helping inform future planning, service delivery and continuous improvement initiatives.

Research resource company Thinkfield will conduct the surveys, by Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing, with Greater Shepparton residents aged 18+ selected at random to take part. All responses are confidential and are grouped with others.

“The phone surveys are a useful tool for Council to gather feedback and to understand whether we are meeting community expectations for the services we provide,” Council’s Director Corporate Services, Chris Teitzel said.

“The survey gathers impressions on the services, facilities and activities Council provides, and the results provide great insight into the ways Council can improve its service delivery.”

Council recorded its highest ever performance result in the 2025/2026 Community Satisfaction Survey, reflecting Council’s commitment to delivering efficient services and responding to community needs.

The survey results highlighted strong improvements in customer service measures, including how long it took to resolve enquiries, how easy it was to contact Council and the accuracy of information provided.

Mr Teitzel said Council would use these results as a benchmark to see if the community’s positive perceptions had continued.

“Residents can be assured that if they receive a phone call from Thinkfield the survey is legitimate and is being conducted on behalf of Council,” he said.

“I encourage anyone who receives a phone call to take part in the survey and provide us with their honest opinion on Council’s performance and services. We look forward to seeing the results.”
