As Victoria’s COVID-19 lockdown restrictions ease, Latrobe City Council has designed print-ready footpath stickers for local businesses, schools and other organisations to download.
Latrobe City Council Mayor, Councillor Dan Clancey, said our lives will continue to be impacted by the Coronavirus pandemic for some time yet.
“Until the virus is eradicated, we will continue to practise social distancing. The decals we’ve designed are perfect for sticking to the ground outside buildings entries. The stickers are variations on physical distancing requirements, with fun graphics ranging from skateboards, kangaroos and turtles to demonstrate to children the visual aspect of 1.5 metres in a memorable way. There are also more formal stickers featuring footprints and the wording ‘please wait here’ for businesses,” Cr Clancey said.
“We know that some small businesses, community groups and clubs, schools and the like might not have the funds to spend on designing signage for their own enterprises. Printing costs for these downloadable stickers is relatively inexpensive but will go a long way towards keeping workers, customers and/or visitors to their premises feeling safe and comfortable.
“As we get accustomed to going about our business in the post-lockdown world, we will probably find that these practices become the norm, but for now, having visual reminders around Latrobe City is an effective way to fight the spread.”

There are a number of local printers in Latrobe City who can quote, print and place the stickers. Please seek the permission of your landlord if you are a tenant. The stickers can be placed on any Latrobe City footpath without the need for a permit.
