Quotes attributable to Safe Work Australia CEO Michelle Baxter:

“We received a strong response to our consultation on a prohibition on the use of engineered stone, with over 100 submissions.

“I want to thank the organisations and individuals who took the time to make submissions to this important consultation.

“In particular, I really appreciate the responses we received from small businesses, many of whom provided valuable information and data to inform the impact analysis.

“The submissions, together with expert analysis, will inform a report for consideration by WHS ministers, who will decide whether to prohibit the use of engineered stone.”
