Copper worth $80,000 stolen from Clayton Business

Moorabbin Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating a burglary at a business in Clayton over the weekend.

It is believed the offender(s) forced entry to the Fairbank Road business between 12.30pm Saturday and 7.30am Monday morning.

The offender(s) used a forklift belonging to the business to assist in the theft of 10 drums of solid bar copper.

The copper has an estimated value of approximately $80,000.

Investigators have released an illustrative image of the copper stolen.
