Costly take-away for learner driver in Werribee

A learner driver had an expensive trip to get some fried chicken after being intercepted by police in Werribee on Friday, 11 February.

The vehicle was flagged by ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) as it was showing cancelled registration.

The vehicle was intercepted by Public Order Response Team (PORT) officers who found the driver was a learner, driving by herself.

The driver was also not displaying her L plates.

The vehicles plates were seized, and the driver, a 20-year-old Hoppers Crossing woman, received penalty notices for driving an unregistered vehicle, learner driving unaccompanied and fail to display L plates.
