King Street Gloucester between Ravenshaw and Railway Street will be partly closed to through traffic for around three months to allow for road reconstruction.
The roadworks will occur in two stages, with the first stage taking place between 79 – 89 King Street, which is the Railway Street end.
The works crew will begin setting up the site and begin preparatory works during the week beginning 6 July, with road closure likely to begin at some point during the week.
Residents will be able to access their homes throughout works but will be asked to avoid parking on the section of King Street where works are occurring.
Pedestrian access to Service NSW and MidCoast Council’s Customer Service Point on King Street will be available throughout the works via the footpath, with barrier mesh fencing separating the worksite from the footpath. Customer parking will be on Railway Street or on parts of King Street where works are not taking place, which is the Ravenshaw Street end.
A temporary wheelchair access ramp will be constructed at the side of Bucketts Way Neighbourhood Centre building to maintain access during construction works.
