ASIC has successfully sought Court orders from to wind up Capital Guard AU Pty Ltd and appoint independent liquidators to take control of the company.
Capital Guard promoted itself – on its website, in online advertisements, on social media and in online news articles – as a regulated financial services provider that specialised in acquiring and holding corporate bonds on behalf of clients.
The Supreme Court of NSW made the orders on 27 July 2026 to wind up Capital Guard on just and equitable grounds and appointed Robert Kirman and Jacinta Nielsen of McGrathNicol as joint and several liquidators.
