South Australia Police have issued 163 expiation notices on Thursday and Friday relating to COVID breaches by individuals and businesses.
The total number of expiation cautions issued between 12.01am Thursday 19 November and 11.59pm Friday 20 November was 103.
The total number of expiation fines issued within the same timeframe was 60.
The statistics are not able to be broken down further to individuals and businesses.
Police would like to remind the public that the expiations (fines in particular) were issued to people who have blatantly disregarded the requirements of the directions, while the greater population of South Australians were amazing and did the right thing.
Those South Australians who did the right thing should be sincerely thanked as police and numerous other departments across the State continue their efforts against COVID-19.
