COVID-19 Infection Control Resource Update

This week the ADA’s Infection Control Committee created and updated critical resources to guide you through the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

To our members in Victoria, know that we are all with you and will continue to support you through whatever is to come. If you are yet to see it, the ADA Victorian Branch has sent you advice about what level of restriction you should be operating under and these resources are designed to support that advice.

It’s important to understand that recommendations are made with your health and safety in mind. Operating outside of recommendations could put you and your colleagues at risk across a number of areas, including WH&S obligations, professional responsibilities as a registered practitioner, and possibly even see you operating outside the requirements of your professional indemnity insurer.

Dental practices nationally remain at a mandated minimum of Level 1 restrictions which means that none of us can return to business as usual just yet. We continue to live with the virus and must play our part to protect ourselves, our families, patients, and our community.

The resources below have been split into the various levels of restriction and specify the locations in which they apply. Additional resources can be found on the official ADA COVID-19 microsite.

As always, the ADA is here to help. If you have any questions please send an email to [email protected] or contact your local ADA branch.
