COVID-19- Infringement Notice

Northern Territory Police have issued an infringement notice for failing to abide by the Chief Health Officer Directions issued under section 56 of the Public and Environmental Health Act 2011.

A 28-year-old man breached his mandatory quarantine by leaving his hotel in Darwin.

The infringement penalty for an individual is $1,099 and $5,495 for a business.

NT Police and Environmental Health Officers continue to undertake compliance activities.

15,171 compliance checks have now been completed and 64 fines issued.
