Three people in South Australia have recently tested positive for COVID-19. There have now been a total of 19 confirmed cases in South Australia.
Of the three newly confirmed cases:
- One is a female in her 30s who recently returned from the UK
- One is a male in his 50s who recently returned from the USA
- One is a female in her 80s who is a family member of a previously confirmed case, and lives in a private residence.
The three most recent cases will be hospitalised at the Royal Adelaide Hospital today.
Only travel details relevant to when individual cases were infectious will be released.
Seventeen of the notified cases in South Australia have recent overseas travel. Of the two who have not travelled overseas, one has travelled from interstate and one is a close contact of a confirmed COVID-19 case.
One of the new cases were identified through testing undertaken at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and two were tested at the COVID-19 Clinic at the Lyell McEwin Hospital.
From today, a total of 15 people are in hospital. This includes 11 at the Royal Adelaide Hospital (with three due to be discharged later today and to be managed at home), and four cases at Flinders Medical Centre.
Since opening, more than 1,000 people have been tested for COVID-19 at the five metropolitan testing sites. All five testing sites are now operating over the weekend.

People who have travelled overseas in the past 14 days and have COVID-19 symptoms, including fever, sore throat, cough or fatigue, should seek testing at an official clinic or alternatively, contact their GP, and self-isolate while awaiting test result.
Importantly, people should call ahead if visiting their GP so the practice can prepare for their visit.
