Covid Update: One new case recorded in NT 25 November

NT Government

The Northern Territory has recorded one new case of COVID-19, bringing the total number of cases from the NT outbreak to 52.

A teenager from Binjari has tested positive. He was a known close contact of a previously recorded case and has been in quarantine at the Centre for National Resilience (CNR).

Extensive contact tracing remains underway, with 506 close contacts now identified to date for cluster two.

Of these, 482 close contacts have been contacted and are isolating, and 453 have returned a negative entry test.

Wastewater results for the period for November 23-24 for the Bicentennial Road catchment site in Katherine remain positive, which was expected given the recent recorded cases of COVID-19 in these areas.
