Repeat testing of wastewater at the Berrimah Treatment Plant was undertaken today following the recent detection of COVID-19 viral fragments.
Sub-catchment, upstream testing is also being undertaken to narrow the geographic location of the viral fragments. Results are expected to be available on Sunday and Tuesday.
It is important all Territorians and visitors, especially those who have been in Darwin between 24 and 28 September 2021, get tested for COVID-19 if you are showing any symptoms such as a cough, fever, shortness of breath, muscle aches, change in taste or smell and a sore throat.
