Creating a Community Precinct – Tender Release for Richardson Park Redevelopment

The Territory Government is revitalising Richardson Park whilst also preserving the sporting significance associated with the site.

A civil works tender has been released to redevelop Richardson Park to provide a playing field and community space.

The Territory Government has allocated $7.1 million to revitalise Richardson Park and is being delivered over multiple stages, including demolition of all existing buildings, civil works to support the redevelopment, upgrading of the playing field, and landscaping of the site.

Recently, local business NTEX completed the demolition works.

This civil works tender will include:

Road extension of Richardson Drive, including carparks, driveways and pathways.Earthworks and stormwater drainage.Reconstruction of the playing field, as well as landscaping including grassed areas, trees and activity nodes.A serviced site for the new ablution and change room facilities, which will be constructed in a future works contract; andServices including electrical, water, sewer, telecommunications and CCTV cameras.

A separate tender will be released in the coming months for the building works, which will comprise of the ablutions facility, change rooms, storage areas and associated undercover area.

The building works will overlap with the later part of the civil construction phase.
