Yarra City Council through its Open Space Strategy (YOSS) is committed to providing open space for existing and future residents, workers and visitors to Yarra.
Only 13.5% of Yarra is open space. Our community relies on public open spaces like parks and gardens for their health and wellbeing, recreational and social needs. (More than 85% of Yarra’s population lives in medium or high-density housing, compared with 33% in Greater Melbourne).
