Crime writer to share tips of trade

Logan residents are invited to join Brisbane-based journalist and author Matthew Condon for a true crime writing session.

Brisbane-based journalist and author Matthew Condon will share his writing tips and techniques with Logan residents early next month.

The author of 10 novels and short story collections will host an online session for Logan City Council Libraries patrons on true crime writing.

The Queensland Writers Centre live stream workshop will run from 10.30am to 1.30pm on Saturday, November 7.

Mr Condon will discuss how to take a real-life situation and turn it into dramatic narrative fit for publication.

The workshop is aimed at anyone wanting to write true crime, a biography or the story of their own life and will also feature a writing exercise component in a collaborative atmosphere.
